Department has started functioning since the inception of the college in 1966. One faculty member is recruited in June 2018 through UPSC, New Delhi. The subject is getting importance in recent research related to NLP and machine learning globally. Department is equipped with basic infrastructure and facilities. Currently Sanskrit is offered for FY and SY BA courses.
